Pre-School
In the Nursery we aim to give your child the best possible start to their education. Parents and carers are the child’s first teachers and during the early years a child learns more than at any other time in life. We want to build on the good start you have made and hope you will help us to make the most of your child’s time with us.
Our purpose built Nursery provides a safe and supportive learning environment, where we set realistic and challenging experiences that meet the diverse needs of all the children in our care.
The Nursery curriculum is child centred and involves a structured programme of learning through play activities both indoor and outdoor. We work to themes, some short, some longer, and try to tie in all areas of learning so the children can see some relevance in the structured activities. There is always a huge element of fun, lots of singing, movement and dance and a good feeling of belonging to a caring and supportive group. The children are encouraged to share and work together, to value their own work, appreciate the work of others and to look after their environment.
Nursery sessions run from 8.50am – 11.20am and 12.30pm – 3.00pm.
